Re Introducing Amy Garson

Re Introducing Amy Garson

Re-Introducing Amy Garson is a powerful and personal piece that touches on themes of identity, self-discovery, motherhood, career challenges, disability, and belonging. But spoon-fed to you by comedian (and mother) Amy Garson.

It's a story about perseverance, and how children will make you crazy. It also has songs about how children will make you crazy, and lots of hilarity.  Amy Garson returns to the stage with comedic storytelling about her journey from theater to stand up to motherhood and back, and all that random stuff in between.

AMY GARSON is a comedian, a singer, a storyteller, and an actress. In that order. She is also a wife and mother- positions she adores. She has an BFA from Ohio University, the most amazing four years. Amy has been mothering for the last twelve years, raising two amazing and incredibly intelligent girls with her calm and patient husband Patrick. Opposites attract they say! Amy grew up in Ohio, moved to NYC, and worked in some very nice restaurants while performing stand up, and acting. Somewhere along the way, all the anxiety of stand up and the fact it wasn't all about her- Amy realized her path was her own shows. Her stories. Her killer impressions of random people. Amy wrote and performed three previous solo shows; Five Finger Dis-Count ('10), The Garsinio Hall Project ('15), and Chameleon ('16), all performed here at The Laurie Beechman!

Musical arrangement by: Micheal Shofi, Musical Supervision by: Robbie Eicher, and under the Direction of: Alyssa Van Gorder.
