Marina Pires

The Protean Poet
Broadway actor and folk-soul singer/songwriter Marina Pires reimagines her favorite songs and original writings through deeply personal (often comical) reflections. The Protean Poet explores the shape-shifting nature of a creative life: the bombshell performer, the poet in solitude, the barefoot Brazilian kid, the circus clown, the hopeless romantic.
You may recognize Marina from Broadway’s How to Dance in Ohio; the internationally acclaimed production of Sunday in the Park with George at Glimmerglass; Picnic at Hanging Rock Off-Broadway, or The First Broadway National Tour of On Your Feet!: The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan.
In her first ever solo venture in NYC, she explores her roots with a show that is intentional, emotional, and international.
